Restaurantes vegetarianos en Londres

Subo fotos de los platos que comí en el vegano de Londres.

todo eso tiene una superpintaza...no pude ir porque no quisieron las personas con que iba, pero me di cuenta que los supermercados alli les dan 1000 vueltas a los de madrid, en el sentido de disponibilidad de productos para vegetarianos. Fui al ASDA y pude comprar por poco más de una libra unas salchichas vegetarianas que sabían como las de verdad, (http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/shelv...n_In_ASDA.html) y todo barato....no me he gastado mucho la verdad..

Después de pasar una semana en Londres os cuento mi experiencia:

- Por todos lados hay tiendas como las nuevas zonas de los VIPS (Pret a manger...) en los que coges comida para llevar (take away) y suele haber sandwich vegetales y muchos de cría en libertad (free range). Yo siempre cogía uno que estaba hecho con falafel muy rico. También tienen fruta y zumos.
- Muchos bares y restaurantes tienen opciones vegetarianas y lo señalizan en la carta.
- Hay muchos restaurantes asiáticos con mucha variedad de alimentos sin "cadaveres" (jeje)
- En Candem Town, en la zona del mercadillo donde están los puestos de comida hay un par de puestos de comida asiatica vegetariana.
- En los fish and chips suelen tener pure de guisantes y cosas parecidas.


En fin, hambre no he pasado, pero cuando he echado en falta una buena hamburguesa o un filetaco se seitán he ido a uno de los vegetarianos que aparecen en el foro, aunque eso sí, bastante caro al que fui.

Bueno, yo estoy viviendo ahora en Londres con una familia vegetariana (me encanta oir a la niña de 4 años decir "We are vegetarians, we don´t eat meat!") y qué decir... me encanta la comida de aquí! En mi opinión, van bastante avanzados en este sentido. En los supermercados se puede encontrar graaaan variedad de productos veganos/vegetarianos para chuparse los dedos, cosa que en España es difícil.

Y bueno, el sentido de este mensaje era enseñaros una página que me acaba de pasar mi hermana, en la que viene una lista exteeeensa de sitios donde comer en Londres. Aún no he probado ninguno pero pienso probarlos todos jaja

Ayer fui a un restaurante que se llama Bistro, tienen varios, 3 concretamente en soho. No es solo de comida vegetariana, pero la mitad de sus platos si lo son.

Al que fui yo esta justo doblando la esquina del mildreds, a este tendre que ir algun dia tb.

y no es muy caro, starter+main+postre por 7,90 pounds. Eso si, el postre no es vegano, ahora ya se que stummed apricots son albaricoques rellenos.

bueno, estando por aqui 3 meses me dara tiempo a investigar, como si fuera de la sgae viendo que bares ponen musica ilicitamante

Manna Restaurant

Woodlands Piccadilly
Indian restaurants are renowned for offering a good range of vegetarian meals, but for a really inspired choice, why not try Woodlands restaurant in central London’s Piccadilly?

Over the years, they have specialised in South Indian cuisine, but have now extended their range to offer dishes from the north of India. There is a dedicated Tandoor oven menu, with delicacies including Paneer Tikka and Vegetable Seekh Kebab, plus a sizeable selection of vegan dishes too.

Zilli Green

Londres y Newcastle son fantasticas para comer vegetariano, en todos los restaurantes a los que fui, en la carta siempre te indicaba con una "v" los productos vegetarianos, aunque veganos eran pocos.
